The crew and I took a trip to the zoo this past Saturday. It was great! The kids were so into the animals and asking so many questions. They were seriously amazed to see all the animals and to be so close in personal if you will. Kason and Noah walked the whole zoo while Ms. Diva (Kamilah) chose to take the easy route and sit in her stroller..she’s smart.
We saw a show where they let birds fly all around, it was neat show. I mean I was blown away when a bird flew and took money off a guys hand (donation), and bring him back a bracelet. We also got the chance to feed the giraffes which was my F A V O R I T E !
Besides it being like 90 something we enjoyed ourselves. Needless to say when we got home we all took a much needed nap.
Sunday was another pretty relaxed day. We watched movies most of the day and went grocery shopping once the sun went down a bit.
Our weekends have been pretty relaxed for the past week or so, because we are trying to adjust to a small change made to our little family.
The kids start school soon so I plan on doing a little individual interview with the boys, to see how they feel about it.
I’ve survived it! Yes the most dreaded time of the year well at least for me anyways…school supply shopping (insert suspenseful music here) Okay I’m not totally lying I love it. This is the first time that I shop for two kids. And to my surprise it was kinda easy! Kasons list consisted mostly of arts and crafts stuff while Noah’s got to the needy greedy rulers, erasers and all those fun supplies.
I didnt get a few things on both lists so I’ll have to go back and look around for the few supplies we are missing. One of them being Manila paper, each school year it N E V E R F R E A K I N G fails. My next mission is uniform and shoe shopping, now this is the one thing I really dislike. My kids are very weird when it comes to clothes, the sizes vary. This is especially true with Kasom he is a very petite boy his waist is our problem. I looked around while I was getting their supplies but no luck so hopefully we have better luck this time around.
So after our Saturday fiasco our Sunday was pretty mellow. We stayed in our pjs and took naps throughout the day. After waking up from my nap I noticed that the kids had been inside all day and then I remembered I bought them some chalk so I decided to let them go out on the balcony and draw. Let me just tell y’all that it was S U P E R hot outside today. Texas heat is no joke! They had fun even if we only lasted 30 mins.
We then ordered Cheddars and chilled, until bed time.
That was our weekend, nothing too exciting. I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and hope that your week is just as amazing.
Yes you read that right he is now four, oh where did time go. In all reality it feels like I have a teenager but nope he’s only four. So we celebrated a bit late his birthday is June 29th and we were going to celebrate that following weekend but due to a death in the family it had to be postponed.
So we celebrated his birthday this past Saturday and it was amazing! We did have a few bumps but his grandma was able to pull everything together. It was a room full of close family and friends. Kason was so happy and so in the moment. His theme was power rangers which I am very surprised he picked because he is more of a super hero’s and minions kinda kid but hey it was his day.
I didn’t want to make you guys fall asleep with an hour to hour story so I thought I would share some pictures instead.
The candy table his aunt put together
Our little photo booth
He was over the moon with all the gifts he received. And I loved it!
It was a great day for all of us, now it’s time to plan Noah birthday party. Woohhooo!
