I’m a bit late on this post but it wasn’t on purpose. I schedules this post to go up on Saturday morning but it didn’t post for some reason. But better late than never…
I went to my first concert ever! Yes I’m 25 (almost 26) I have never been to one. I was both happy and nervous to go, happy because I would finally be seeing H.E.R but extra nervous because I would be going by myself, cause none of my friends know who she is and also it was on Thursday night.
When I got to the venue there was already a line but not a really long one. By the way do you guys know how awkward it is to walk pass a bunch of people in small groups and they’re just staring at you while you walk by?? Umm freaking awkward.
I stood in line for maybe 40 mins before they started letting us in. Skipped a few people because they didn’t have their tickets together, once I got in the venue I made sure to get a water because I was pretty close to the stage and the bar was a mile away (not really) but I wasn’t too sure if the venue would get really crowded. I was surrounded by the same people who were either right behind me or in front of me so we started making small talk. You know trying to pass time..
The show started around 8:30 pm with Tiara Thomas opening up. I totally forgot to mention that both artist are RnB singers. That was my first time ever hearing Tiara but her voice was amazing.
Then it happened H.E.R came out! The show was everything I could’ve ever imagined it to be, if not more. We were all singing with one another and it was just such a great time. I have so many videos of the concert that I had to delete a few pictures while I was recording because I was running out of memory. It was a night to remember for sure!
If you guys have never listened to H.E.R please do, this girl is beyond talented.
Friday wasn’t suppose to happen the way that it did. The plan was to run a few errands with my mom and go buy our tickets for the circus for Saturday night. Wwweell we decided last minute to go Friday afternoon because the tickets would be a little cheaper on opening night.
We only had about 30 mins to make it back before they opened up the doors. So as soon as the kids made it back from school which to my surprise I got a little turkey in return in stead of Kason
We didn’t give them time to take their shoes off because we ran out the door. I don’t know why were even rushing if the rodeo is right around the corner from my moms house and we were still late. We were able to score some really good seats and I was able to snap a few pictures of the kids with the clowns. Win win for everybody!
Kason and Noah were so happy to be there while Ms. Kamilah wasn’t even worried about anything going on around. Nothing out of the norm she’s usually like that. If it doesn’t have to do with Trolls, Minnie Mouse, or any other character she likes she doesn’t care.
I haven’t been to a circus since I was a little girl so I was pretty entertained not so much with the animals for my own reasons, but I was having a blast watching the clowns. Yes I was really laughing my pants off while the kids were looking at me like I was out of this world.
I mean she was pretty much done before it even started…
This was the day I had been dreading for over a year or so. I took my CPC test on this day and i won’t know my test results until some time next week I believe. The test was five hours and forty minutes I was so exhausted by the time I got out that I just wanted to go home and sleep. Which I did, the rest of the was very calm and chill.
Another calm day, my mom, kids, and I went to Michaels to get ribbon for my Christmas tree and as soon as we walked in we saw the craft table! They were letting the kids decorate their own ornament(s) I grabbed my ribbon and bought the kids their clear ornaments and we made our way to the table of manny possibilities.
Kason and Noah wanted snowmans and Kami is small so I figured why not just write her name. Maybe next year she’l be able to draw or doodle something.
Can’ wait to show you guys my Christmas tree with these very special ornaments.
Until next time
